Durex The Birds and Bees Talk (TBBT) partnered with district administrations in Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram to commemorate their 38th Statehood Day. The collaborative effort aimed to raise awareness among adolescents, emphasizing crucial aspects such as awareness, consent, protection, knowledge, equity, and inclusion.

The celebrations, held at APIL General Ground Namsai in Arunachal Pradesh and Aizawl Special Home in Durtlang, Mizoram, featured a series of engaging activities. Notable dignitaries including C R Khampa, Deputy Commissioner of Namsai District, and various state leads of TBBT, graced the events in their respective regions.

Through partnerships with local departments, TBBT ensured widespread outreach to educate children and adolescents on vital growing-up life skills. The program garnered praise from authorities for its efforts in nurturing responsible and healthier adults.

A highlight of the event was a skit performance by students from Arunachal University, addressing pertinent issues such as child marriage, abuse, peer pressure, and menstrual health. Additionally, cultural performances and counseling sessions were conducted, enriching the celebration with insights on youth empowerment and societal contributions.

Ravi Bhatnagar, Director of External Affairs and Partnerships at SOA, Reckitt, emphasized the significance of empowering adolescents, acknowledging them as the future changemakers. He highlighted TBBT’s commitment to addressing health issues and promoting overall well-being among youth in Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh.
