TKM establishes the T-TEP institution at Don Bosco Technical School Shillong

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the 63rd Toyota Technical Education Program (T-TEP) institute at Don Bosco Technical School in Shillong and the first in Meghalaya, with support from the Automotive Skills Development Council. The initiative aims to improve students’ skill sets, particularly in rural areas, and strengthen their employability through the Toyota Technical Education Program (T-TEP). T-TEP aims to create skilled professionals in the automobile industry, contributing to India’s “Skill India” mission.

TKM is associated with 63 ITI/Diploma institutes in 26 states, training over 12,000 students, with 70% working in various companies and dealerships.The event was attended by Dr. Mazel Ampareen Lyngdoh- Cabinet Minister of Meghalaya, in the presence of Vikram Gulati- Country Head and Executive Vice President of TKM, Fr Arcadius Puwein, Mr. Arun Lawaniya Deputy Lead – State Initiatives and Capacity Building, Mr. Ambarish Das, and senior executives from TKM.

On this occasion, Dr Mazel Ampareen Lyngdoh Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, Health & Family Welfare Department, Information and Public Relations Department, Law Department, Govt of Meghalaya, said, “It will have a big impact towards developing highly-skilled, employable, and future-ready youths.”
