A blood donation camp was organized by the Dibrugarh Income Tax Department

Assam Medical College and Hospital, Dibrugarh, and the Income Tax Department, Dibrugarh, collaborated to host a blood donation session at Aayakar Bhawan. Assam Medical College and Hospital Principal Dr. Sanjeev Kakoti and Additional Income Tax Commissioner Subrata Dhar lit a lamp to officially open the camp. This effort was a component of a national blood drive that was carried out as a social responsibility exercise in all of the Income Tax Department’s offices. Participation in the camp was fervent, and 32 donors made contributions to the admirable cause.

Along with attendees from outside organizations like the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the donors included representatives from the Income Tax Department offices in Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Duliajan, and Digboi. Their combined efforts demonstrated the dedication to healthcare support and community welfare. The Income Tax Department reaffirmed its commitment to holding such blood donation camps in the future, acknowledging the significance of such programs.

Donating blood is essential for saving lives, particularly for individuals who need transfusions because of illnesses, operations, or crises. Frequent blood donations ensure that blood banks have enough supplies on hand to provide prompt aid to people in need. The Assam Medical College and Hospital medical staff, volunteers, and donors were all thanked by the IT department for helping to make this camp a success. Such initiatives greatly improve social well-being and public health through sustained cooperation and involvement.
