ABD Maestro enters fast-growing premium segment with launch of AODH Irish Whiskey in India

ABD Maestro Pvt. Ltd., the super-premium and luxury spirits subsidiary of Allied Blenders & Distillers (ABD), has launched AODH Irish Whiskey in India, marking a strong entry into one of the country’s fastest-growing spirits categories. ABD Maestro is co-founded by Superstar Ranveer Singh, who also serves as creative partner, with a focus on creating world-class brands for Indian and global audiences.

AODH, meaning “flame” in Irish, symbolises warmth and enduring stories. The whiskey is crafted using signature triple distillation, offering a bright gold hue with copper glints and aromas of vanilla cream, honey and toffee from ex-bourbon cask maturation. It delivers a smooth, silky palate with an elegant, lasting finish.

Managing Director Bikram Basu said AODH represents an authentic Irish expression aligned with contemporary preferences and is positioned as a super-premium product for discerning consumers. Irish whiskey exports to India have risen 57%, making the country the fifth-largest global market, according to Drinks Ireland’s Spirits 2024 Annual Report.

With West Bengal slated for rollout, AODH is expected to find strong acceptance in Kolkata’s evolving premium spirits market, where consumers are increasingly drawn to authentic global brands and higher-end offerings.

Launched initially in Haryana, the brand will expand immediately to Maharashtra at an MRP of ₹3,950 (750ml), followed by Goa, West Bengal, Karnataka, Delhi and key North Indian markets.
