Adani Ports successfully berths largest container ship

Mundra Port, India’s flagship port, APSEZ, has berthing MV MSC Hamburg, a 399 meters long and 54 meters wide vessel, marking a significant achievement for the Adani Group. Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone in Mundra, Gujarat, successfully berthing the largest container ship, MV MSC Hamburg, in July 2023. The 2015-built ship, built in 2015, was anchored at the port.

The Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) and Adani International Container Terminal Pvt. Ltd.’s joint venture completed 10 years, proving its mettle in operations and efficiency. APSEZ successfully berthing MV MSC Hamburg, a container ship with a carrying capacity of 15,908 TEU.

 Mundra Ports successfully berthing one of the largest ships ever, with the APSEZ Mundra Marine Team ensuring accurate clearance predictions by factoring in vessel conditions and live weather conditions. In 2021 APSEZ berthed the 13,892 TEU APL Raffles, the largest container vessel to call at any Indian port. The Singapore-registered vessel had a length of 397.88 meters and a breadth of 51 meters. The Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone recorded the largest port cargo volume with 339 MMT in FY23.
