Ahead of the 5th session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) scheduled for August 22, Speaker Sharingain Longkumer has convened a preparatory meeting with members. The meeting will take place on August 24 at 11 a.m. in the committee room, with Longkumer, also the chairman of the house committee, presiding over the discussions.
The primary aim of the meeting is to align all members on crucial issues and ensure smooth proceedings for the upcoming session. The session is anticipated to cover significant legislative matters and initiate important debates.
The Nagaland Legislative Assembly has released the Provisional Programme of Business for the session. The agenda includes an obituary reference, followed by a question hour, reporting on the assent of bills, discussions on urgent public issues, introduction of government bills, laying of annual administrative reports, and presentation of the assembly committee report.
