Ahead of the festival season, Manipur has allocated Rs 5 crore for IDPs

The Manipur government approved more than Rs 5 crore with the goal of giving internally displaced people in different regions of the state cash aid of Rs 1,000 apiece. The official announcement states that the sum will also pay for the cost of giving the IDPs necessities.

Chief Minister N Biren Singh said on Facebook that each IDP would receive Rs 1,000 in financial aid from the approved amount. Singh had previously stated that the sum will be disbursed prior to Diwali and the “Ningol Chakouba” celebration.

On the eve of National Unity Day, the CM also announced the start of the “Run for Unity Marathon.” The Department of Youth Affairs and Sports organized the unity run, which was around 4 km long. “This run serves as a potent reminder of our dedication to harmony and unity. Let each step we take today strengthen our unity as a single people and nation. “Jai Hind!” Singh stated in an X post.
