Amazon India announced that the 7th edition of Prime Daywas the biggest ever Prime Day event. Prime Day 2023 on Jul 15-16, enabled Prime members to discover joy through great deals, new launches and block buster entertainment. Prime Day saw thousands of sellers, brands, and bank partners offering INR 300 crores savings to Prime members, with fast deliveries and strong growth in membership engagement. This event saw strong growth in Prime membership and highest engagement, with 14% more members shopping than last year’s event.
Prime Day saw 45% of Prime members shopping with Amazon Pay, with 82% from Tier 2 & 3 cities and towns. Amazon Pay ICICI bank credit card was used by 1 in 4 Prime members. Prime Video’s originals, movies, and shows were loved by customers from both within and outside India. Prime members from 4,490 cities and towns streamed special Prime Day releases, with over 230 countries and territories watching the incredible line-up of Indian shows and movies. Akshay Sahi, Director, Prime and Delivery Experience, Amazon India said, “With the biggest product and brand launches, best deals of the year this Prime Day, we also delivered highest number of same day deliveries over past Prime Day events.”
