Amazon is empowering communities through various initiatives, positively impacting over 7.8 million people nationwide. The company uses its resources and innovative capabilities to provide essential education and skills training to underserved populations. Programs like Amazon Future Engineer aim to bridge the gap in computer science education, offering young students from diverse backgrounds the chance to acquire crucial skills for their future careers. These educational efforts are complemented by numerous scholarship programs designed to ensure that financial barriers do not become a challenge for access to quality education.

Amazon has started pre-positioning its disaster relief material, including shelter and hygiene kits, to provide it to communities in need within 72 hours. The company plans to use its logistics network to efficiently move the relief items across the country.  Manish Tiwary, Vice President and Country Manager for Amazon India, said, “We are committed to making a lasting impact and will continue to leverage our resources for the greater good and strive to be the good neighbour for the communities we live and work in.”

Amazon India collaborates with 160+ non-profits to implement 20+ programs and 170+ projects, promoting health, hygiene, and entrepreneurship in local communities. Emphasizing job creation for women and disabled individuals, the company demonstrates its commitment to inclusive economic growth.
