Ao Senden meets DGP, demands action on offensive post

Ao Senden, the apex body of the Ao Naga tribe, has called for immediate police action against administrators and moderators of “The Patriotic Nagas” Facebook group over a defamatory post targeting the community. In a formal complaint submitted to the Director General of Police (DGP) Nagaland, Rupin Sharma, Ao Senden expressed strong disapproval of what it described as “insulting, outrageous, and despicable” content on the social media platform.

The complaint was delivered on Tuesday by a delegation led by Ao Senden President Marsanen Imsong, who met with DGP Sharma and other senior officials in Kohima. According to a press release by Ao Senden, the DGP assured the delegation that prompt action would be taken to address the issue.

Expressing confidence in DGP Sharma’s leadership, Ao Senden urged its members to remain calm and allow the law to handle the situation. However, the group also advised the Ao community to stay vigilant and prepared for any potential developments in the matter.
