Bodoland council to be included with more villages

More villages will be included in Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) from the latest update announcement. On Thursday, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma announced one of the 60 villages that will be included in the Bodo Council. “As part of promises made in the Bodo peace deal signed in January 2020, our government has decided to include villages which have at least 80% Bodo population in the BTR,” CM said.
