Tripura HIV positive cases surge, 5675 cases registered

Tripura HIV positive cases among students are alarming highest in number due to injectable drugs. To reports, 220 schools and 24 colleges students are identified using the drug. Tripura State Aids Control Society has overviewed the number of cases in the state, Tripura. Daily five to seven HIV cases are detected through targeted tests that are carried out. To the reports, 5,674 individuals are currently having HIV positive including 4,570 males, 1,103 females, and one transgender person.

Assam is grilling under flood due to continuous rainfall in the region. Atleast eight rivers are flowing above the danger mark including Brahmaputra river at the highest peak. The bulletin board says, Assam flood has affected the region over 6.44 lakh people in 19 districts. Rescue teams are deployed in all the regions including the NDRF, SDRF, army, air force and local administration.
