Heavy monsoon rains in Arunachal Pradesh have wreaked havoc, particularly in Kurung Kumey district where the 47-kilometer Sarli-Koloriang road has been completely washed out, rendering all bridges impassable. This has effectively isolated Sarli town from its surrounding areas. A review meeting on July 4, chaired by Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu via video conference from Tawang, addressed the severe impact of the floods across the state.
