BSA unveils its fourth bike at EICMA, the new adventure BSA Thunderbolt

BSA Motorcycles has unveiled its latest offering, the BSA Thunderbolt, at EICMA, marking the brand’s first adventure motorcycle. Blending heritage with modern technology, the Thunderbolt revives the legacy of BSA’s iconic touring and off-road bikes, while catering to today’s adventure riders. The 334cc Euro 5+ compliant single-cylinder engine, combined with traction control, three ABS modes, USD forks, monoshock rear suspension, and a reinforced exoskeleton, ensures both on-road performance and off-road durability.

The bike features ergonomic design elements such as an adjustable windshield, turn-by-turn navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, USB charging, and a spacious 15.5-litre fuel tank, making it ideal for both weekday commutes and long weekend adventures. Classic Legends Pvt. Ltd., owners of BSA, Jawa, and Yezdi, aim to offer a shared global platform while preserving each brand’s distinct identity.

In Kolkata, the Thunderbolt is expected to attract the city’s growing base of young adventure riders seeking versatile bikes suitable for urban streets and weekend escapes into nearby hills and coastal routes. Dealers report strong anticipation ahead of the mid-2026 launch, with enthusiasts keen to experience BSA’s legendary performance in the local riding environment. Co-founders Anupam Thareja and BomanIrani emphasized that the Thunderbolt not only embodies BSA’s heritage but also sets the stage for the brand’s global adventure segment expansion.
