Assam rural bodies receive funding from the finance commission of Rs 219.24 crore

With the release of the Fifteenth Finance Commission (XV FC) funding for Rural Local Bodies in Assam for the fiscal year 2025–2026, the Union Government has significantly accelerated grassroots development throughout the state. The second tranche of Untied Grants for 2024–2025, totaling Rs 219.24 crore, is included in the most recent disbursement. All 27 District Panchayats, 182 Block Panchayats, and 2,192 Gram Panchayats in Assam that qualify will get these monies.
