Fuel prices rise in Assam following LS election results announcement

Assam witnesses surge of fuel price after Lok Sabha elections results declaration. According to the sources, petrol prices have risen by Rs. 1.02 rupees, while diesel prices have increased by Rs. 1.01. The surge of sudden fuel prices has sparked widespread concern among the residents of Assam, unexpected hike just after twenty-four hours of election results announcement. As of today, the price of petrol in Guwahati stands at Rs 97.19 per litre, a slight increase from yesterday's rate of Rs 96.17. Similarly, diesel prices in Guwahati have risen to Rs 89.42 per litre from yesterday's rate of Rs 88.41.
