Fuel prices rise in Assam following LS election results announcement

Assam witnesses surge of fuel price after Lok Sabha elections results declaration. According to the sources, petrol prices have risen by Rs. 1.02 rupees, while diesel prices have increased by Rs. 1.01. The surge of sudden fuel prices has sparked widespread concern among the residents of Assam, unexpected hike just after twenty-four hours of election results announcement. As of today, the price of petrol in Guwahati stands at Rs 97.19 per litre, a slight increase from yesterday's rate of Rs 96.17. Similarly, diesel prices in Guwahati have risen to Rs 89.42 per litre from yesterday's rate of Rs 88.41.

Assam University postpones exam due to flood crisis and relief camp

The Assam University, Silchar had earlier scheduled to being TDC (CBCS) even-semester examinations by June 1, 2024 but due to ongoing natural calamities flood, continuous rain, heavy storm and relief camp on the campus the authorities have decided to cancel the exam. Relative attacks youth, in critical situation

A youth in Digboi, Assam identified as Amrit Thakur was brutally attacked by a group of miscreants who attempted to kill him. According to the sources, the horrifying incident took place at Digboi Chariali locality. The victim alleged that the attack was done by his wife's relatives due to family feud. Education Minister to execute plans on vocational courses in Assam
