Massive drug haul: Assam rifles seize Heroin worth nearly Rs. 8 crore

Acting on precise intelligence regarding drug trafficking activities, Assam Rifles swiftly established a Mobile Vehicle Check Post (MVCP) on July 10, 2024, near the fourth mile, leading to a significant interception and apprehension. During the operation, security forces intercepted a vehicle and conducted a meticulous search, uncovering 1,134 grams of suspected Heroin No. 4 concealed within 81 plastic soap cases. The estimated street value of the seized contraband is approximately Rs. 7,93,80,000.
