The Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP), Mizoram’s leading student body, on Monday submitted a formal letter to Governor VK Singh, seeking his intervention in the release of pending post-matric scholarship instalments for over 4,000 tribal students. According to the MZP, while more than 31,000 students had applied for the 2023–24 post-matric scholarship, only 26,909 have received the funds so far. A total of 4,027 students—many studying technical and professional courses outside Mizoram—are still waiting for their final instalment.
