Childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma supported Kohli’s decision to retire

Virat Kohli announced his retirement after winning the T20 World Cup man of the match award. He informed me that he is retiring from international T20. Speculations are rife about Kohli’s decision to retire. Some say he made the right decision. According to some, Virat could have played for a few more days. Virat’s childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma, opened up about this. According to him, Virat has taken the right decision.

In an interview with news agency ANI, Rajkumar said, “Virat has taken a big decision. After winning the World Cup and becoming the best cricketer in the finals, he announced his retirement. There couldn’t have been a better moment for a cricketer. I respect his decision. He made the right decision. Virat said that he decided to leave to give opportunities to the youngsters.

According to Rajkumar, Virat will be able to focus on tests this time as he retires from the short format. He said, “This time you can focus more on the test. He wants to play better in tests. He has a suitable test mentality. I think his country still has a lot to offer in red-ball cricket. I congratulate the Indian Cricket Board and the cricketers and support staff of the team on winning the World Cup. The trophy drought of so many years is finally over.”

Kohli was not in form for the whole World Cup. He had no runs on the bat. But he scored in the most important match. He played an inning of 76 runs off 59 balls in the final. India scored 176 runs with his bat. Kohli eventually won by 7 runs in a tight match.

Kohli made his T20 debut in 2010. He scored 4188 runs in 125 matches in short format. Scored one hundred and 38 fifties. Kohli has played a total of 35 matches in six T20 World Cups for India. He scored 1292 runs at an average of 58.72 and a strike rate of 128.81. Kohli scored 15 fifties in the World Cup.
