Congress slams Jaishankar after his remark on Rahul Gandhi

The Congress claimed that Jaishankar was chosen to the position by the person who breached the long-standing rule against doing so. He added, “People from inside this country are taking politics outside and people from outside are interfering with politics inside.” In response, Congress national secretary Jairam Ramesh stated, “The man who violated the old tradition of not pursuing internal politics abroad, made him (Jaishankar) minister,” with obvious reference to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
