Mankind Pharma’s stock got listed on NSE and NSE on Tuesday. The pharma company’s stock is listed at a 20 percent premium to its issue price of Rs 1,080 per share. Mankind Pharma’s IPO in 2023 was the biggest public issue ever. Shares of Mankind Pharma were listed at Rs 1,300, up 20.37 percent on the BSE. The stock was listed at Rs 1,300 on the NSE. The company was valued at Rs 54,816.52 crore at the time of listing.At the time of writing the news, Mankind Pharma’s stock was trading at Rs 1,374 on the NSE, up 27.13 percent.
Biggest IPO of 2023
Mankind Pharma’s IPO is the biggest public issue of this year so far. At the same time, this is the biggest IPO offered by any pharma after Gland Pharma, whose size was Rs 6,480 crore.
OFS was the IPO of Mankind Pharma
Mankind Pharma’s IPO was a complete Offer for Sale (OFS), in which about 4,00,58,844 shares were sold by promoters and investors. Its price band was fixed from Rs 1,026 to Rs 1,080 per share. One lot of this IPO was 13 shares.
Business of Mankind Pharma
Mankind Pharma is the fourth largest pharma company in the country by sales. It operates 25 manufacturing plants and has a full team of 600 scientists and research and development centers. In the nine months April-December 2022, the company’s profit was Rs 996.4 crore, and its income increased by 10% to Rs 6697 crore.
