Export of onions has prohibited till March 2024

A government notification said India has prohibited the export of onions till March 2024. However it will be allowed on the basis of permission granted by the central government to other countries based on their requests. At present in retail markets onions are being sold at 60 rupees per kilogram. Actually this step is taken so that in future shortage doesn’t come in India.

Today all over the world shortage of food is coming as we know population is increasing very fast and their food demand is not meeting. Actually in India agriculture is taken very seriously and food is produced to meet people requirement. If you see food is sell not only in India but also in abroad countries food is exported from India. In reality this step is very important as it will help people to afford food in the country as we know in future a big crisis is going to come. Still India will supply onions to some special country so that India will manage to sell the onions.
