The bird flu kills a young man in Mexico. Although the young man was suffering from various physical problems, according to the World Health organization, the risk of contracting this virus in general is very low. A 59-year-old man from Mexico City contracted a fever last April, the World Health Organization said on Wednesday. Within a few days, he developed diarrhea, shortness of breath, and nausea.

Relatives of the young man said he was bedridden for three weeks before his condition turned critical. The Mexican health department said in a statement that the young man had been suffering from kidney problems, diabetes, and high blood pressure for a long time. Later, he was taken to the hospital on April 24, where he died the same day. According to the WHO, the preliminary test found the presence of the unknown flu in the body of the young man.

Later, the presence of the H5N2 type of bird flu was found by testing in more advanced labs. The organization said that this is the first time in the world that a person has been infected with this type of virus. Andrew Pekoz, an influenza specialist at Johns Hopkins University in America, said that the young man’s physical condition was already bad. But the bird flu virus made his condition more complicated. How he contracted the virus is the big question.
