Flipkart, India’s leading e-commerce platform, has announced the eighth edition of its flagship Samarth sale event, ‘Crafted by Bharat,’ to be held on August 15, 2024, in celebration of India’s 78th Independence Day. The sale will feature over 25,000 unique handicraft products from across the country, showcasing the rich cultural heritage and craftsmanship of hundreds of artisans, weavers, and entrepreneurs.
This edition of ‘Crafted by Bharat’ will highlight more than 100 traditional art forms, including wooden art, metal-casting, and traditional furniture, offering a curated selection of home and kitchen products. The event also emphasizes inclusivity, with a dedicated storefront for women, rural entrepreneurs, and members of LGBTQ+ communities, supporting MSMEs from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities like Agra, Jaipur, and Varanasi.
