Flipkart has launched a series of seller-first initiatives aimed at making e-commerce more inclusive and accessible, especially for new and small-scale entrepreneurs. These initiatives, including the New Seller Success Program, simplify onboarding, improve product discovery, and streamline pricing—reducing the cost of doing business and driving faster seller growth.
The New Seller Success Program, launched in January 2025, provides 60 days of complimentary onboarding support to first-time sellers. The program has already led to a 2.3X increase in new sellers achieving business success within their initial 60 days on the platform. Flipkart’s efforts are particularly effective in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, creating early momentum for businesses in underserved markets.
Local sellers have reported notable benefits from Flipkart’s simplified pricing tools like Settlement Based Pricing. Entrepreneurs say the clarity in earnings and streamlined operations has boosted confidence and allowed them to scale more efficiently. Apparel and fashion retailers in the region are adopting smarter strategies, with growing optimism about expanding their digital footprint. Flipkart Senior Director Kapil Thirani emphasized the company’s vision to build a transparent and supportive ecosystem, stating, “We are creating an environment where entrepreneurship can thrive across the country.”
