Flipkart marketplace sees 25% rise in sellers ahead of festive season, MSMEs drive growth

Flipkart has reported a 25–30% rise in transacting sellers over the past six months, with businesses recording up to 30% growth since June 2025. The e-commerce giant said its AI-powered tools, simplified Seller Hub, and faster settlements are empowering lakhs of MSMEs, artisans, and entrepreneurs to prepare for India’s biggest festive shopping season.

Key categories such as Fashion, Books & General Merchandise (BGM), and Electronics are witnessing strong momentum, with sellers leveraging Flipkart’s NXT Insights Platform for real-time analytics and growth strategies. The New Seller Success Program has doubled onboarding success rates, while new hubs like Kannauj, Khurja, and Shantipur are contributing to expanding regional trade through digital commerce.

In Durgapur, sellers and traders are optimistic about the opportunities this festive season brings. With Flipkart enabling GST-compliant dashboards and AI-driven recommendations, many small and medium businesses in the steel city are turning to e-commerce to expand beyond local markets. Sellers believe the platform’s reach will help them compete with larger brands and bring regional products to a national audience. Flipkart’s SVP & Head of Marketplace, Sakait Chaudhary, said the company is committed to equipping sellers with the right tools for growth and ensuring value delivery to customers during the festive surge.
