HCLFoundation’s 2024 HCLTech Grant: ₹16.5 crore to drive rural transformation

HCLFoundation has unveiled the winners of its prestigious 2024 HCLTech Grant, marking a significant milestone in the realm of corporate social responsibility.With a commitment of ₹16.5 crore (approximately $2 million), the selected NGOs are poised to spearhead transformative projects aimed at catalyzing sustainable rural development across India. From conserving endangered species to addressing perinatal mental health and childcare, these initiatives promise to make a tangible impact on the lives of millions.

The HCLTech Grant, now in its 9th edition, has been instrumental in channeling funds toward pioneering projects in environmental conservation, healthcare, and education. Over the years, it has cumulatively committed ₹146.95 crore (approximately $18 million) and transformed nearly 2 million lives in over 27,500 villages across India.

This year’s winners include The Corbett Foundation, Sangath, and Makkala Jagriti, each receiving ₹5 crore for their ambitious four-year endeavors. Additionally, six NGOs have been awarded grants of ₹25 lakh each for one-year projects.Ms. Robin Ann Abrams, Chairperson of the HCLTech Grant Jury, emphasized the program’s commitment to transparency and impact. Dr. Nidhi Pundhir, Vice President of Global CSR at HCLTech and Director of HCLFoundation, expressed confidence in the selected NGOs’ ability to drive inclusive and sustainable development in rural India.
