Hyatt Strengthens Presence in India with Ahmedabad Nikol Hotel Deal

Hyatt Hotels Corporation on Tuesday announced the signing of an agreement for Hyatt Place Ahmedabad Nikol, marking a fresh step in its expansion across India’s high-growth urban markets. The 140-key property, being developed by Golden Buildcon, will strengthen Hyatt’s presence in Ahmedabad, a key administrative and commercial hub of Gujarat.

The upcoming hotel will feature multiple dining options, including a main restaurant and a grab-and-go market. It will also house a 3,455-square-foot ballroom, along with conference rooms and a boardroom, catering to meetings and events. Additional facilities such as a fitness centre and swimming pool are expected to attract both business and leisure travellers. Commenting on the development, Dhruva Rathore, Vice President – Real Estate & Development, India & Southwest Asia at Hyatt, said Ahmedabad’s strong economic growth, driven by infrastructure, manufacturing, and financial services, continues to boost demand in the hospitality sector. He added that the signing underlines Hyatt’s commitment to expanding in emerging and high-potential markets.

Hyatt Place hotels are designed for modern travellers, offering flexible spaces, contemporary rooms, and round-the-clock conveniences. Kolkata also mirrors a similar growth trajectory, with rising business travel and infrastructure upgrades driving demand for branded hospitality assets. Industry observers note that such expansions across cities like Ahmedabad and Kolkata signal sustained confidence in India’s urban hospitality sector.
