ICICI Foundation, the CSR arm of ICICI Bank, is addressing the healthcare needs of India’s North Eastern region. Since 2023, it has benefitted over 9,100 patients, across Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura, where essential medical infrastructure and healthcare services have been provided to enhance accessibility and quality of care. Supporting crucial areas such as Tuberculosis (TB) treatment, cancer care, and dialysis services, ICICI Foundation has provided over 60 medical equipment including video bronchoscopes, ultrasounds, dialysis units, and endoscopes.
In Assam, ICICI Foundation installed 25 dialysis units across districts like Chirang, West Karbi Anglong, Dima Hasao, Hojai, South Salmara, Udalguri, and Kokrajhar. To enhance blood collection efforts, ICICI Foundation provided a mobile blood collection unit to the Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR) in Nagaland.
ICICI Foundation’s support also extended to Reid Provincial Chest Hospital in Shillong, Meghalaya, where they provided a video bronchoscope. These initiatives reflect ICICI Bank’s ongoing commitment to improving healthcare accessibility in remote areas and creating lasting community impact, aligning with the broader sustainability goals outlined in the bank’s ESG report, which highlights its dedication to social responsibility.
