Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has opened a new Vivanta hotel in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, offering panoramic views of the Tawang Valley and the Himalayas. The hotel, situated at a height of 10,000 feet, offers 80 rooms and suites with a range of culinary delights, including Mynt, Wink, and Swirl.
Tawang is a sanctuary located just a short drive from the Tawang Monastery, the second largest in the world. The hotel also offers banquet spaces, including the largest ballroom in the state, and charming open-air lawns. It also offers recreational facilities such as a temperature-controlled indoor swimming pool, a fitness center, and a spa, as well as a play zone for children and an amphitheater for cultural events.
Tawang is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, cascading waterfalls, and adventure sports, and is home to several revered Buddhist monasteries. With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 12 hotels in the Northeast of India, including 5 under development.
