In conjunction with the Navy Welfare and Wellness Association (NWWA), the Indian Navy is organising the “Sam No Varunah” marine awareness coastal motor car trip, which will cross the whole Indian coastline.
The expedition will commemorate the “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” and organise awareness campaigns about the various career options the navy provides, notably the Agnipath Scheme, along the route. The initiative attempts to inspire young people to join the Indian Navy by instilling a spirit of adventure in them.
India has a long coastline of almost 7,500 kilometres, which is more than the length of our shared land borders with China and Pakistan put together.
