The Indian Performing Right Society (IPRS) is set to attend the Asia Music Summit in Kohima from February 1st to 3rd. The event aims to educate and empower musicians on copyright, royalties, and the role of music copyright societies in safeguarding creators’ rights.

The Indian Performing Right Society Limited CEO, Rakesh Nigam, emphasized the organization’s focus on empowering Northeast-based creators at the Asia Music Summit. As part of the Asia Music Summit, IPRS is hosting an insightful workshop aimed at demystifying music copyright, explaining the role of IPRS, managing rights as a creator, and their right to royalties.

The workshop will guide participants through the benefits of being represented as a community, ensuring due credits through data registration, and providing valuable insights. IPRS is also organizing an exclusive enrolment boot camp for independent artists, songwriters, and composers, offering a one-time free membership offer. The summit promises a platform for musical expression and a gateway to unlocking the full potential of a creator’s work.
