Kalyan Jewellers on Wednesday strengthened its presence in Eastern India with the inauguration of a new showroom at Jamalpur in Bihar’s Munger district. The outlet was formally launched by Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor, marking a key milestone in the company’s expansion strategy in the Bihar market. The showroom offers a premium retail environment designed to blend traditional craftsmanship with a modern shopping experience. It features an extensive portfolio of Kalyan’s signature house brands, including Muhurat (wedding jewellery), Mudhra (handcrafted antique), Nimah (temple jewellery), Glo (dancing diamonds), Ziah (solitaire-like diamonds), Anokhi (uncut diamonds), Apoorva, Antara, Hera, Rang, and the recently launched Lila collection.
“It is a pleasure to inaugurate this landmark showroom… Kalyan Jewellers has set remarkable benchmarks for quality and craftsmanship,” said Karisma Kapoor. Executive Director Ramesh Kalyanaraman said the launch reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening its footprint in Bihar while offering quality, service, and transparency to customers.
To attract buyers, the company announced 0% making charges on all items and highlighted its Special Gold Board Rate, which remains the lowest and uniform across showrooms. All products are BIS-hallmarked and come with a 4-Level Assurance Certificate covering purity, maintenance, and buy-back policies.
Munger is emerging as a growing jewellery hub in Bihar, driven by rising disposable incomes and increasing preference for trusted, organised brands. The entry of Kalyan Jewellers is expected to elevate competition, enhance consumer trust, and accelerate the shift from unorganised to branded jewellery retail in the region.
