Kohima Police Enforces Drone Ban Around Nagaland Assembly for Security Upgrade

In preparation for the 5th session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Kohima Police have instituted strict security measures, including a temporary ban on drone flights. The Assembly Secretariat Complex and its surrounding areas within a one-kilometer radius have been designated as a “Temporary Red Zone.”

According to a directive issued by the Kohima Police, the restriction on unmanned aircraft systems will be in effect from 17:00 hrs on August 26, 2024, to 17:00 hrs on August 28, 2024. This move is authorized under Section 24(2) of the Ministry of Civil Aviation’s Drone Rules 2021.
