Law must be humane, says the Chief Justice

D Y Chandrachud, who stated on Friday that law must have a human touch to serve the interests of all people and should always be applied with tact to deal with the causes of issues.
Justice Chandrachud stated at the platinum anniversary celebration of the Gauhati High Court here that the law should take into account the realities of the communities where it is sought to be implemented.
People have faith in the social system when the law is correctly read and applied, and it is a step in the right direction towards the fulfilment of justice.
