LG Electronics India has announced its flagship CSR initiative, the Life’s Good Scholarship Program, aimed at providing financial support to students across 200 colleges in India. The program, launched at LG’s Corporate Office in Noida, underscores the company’s commitment to enhancing educational opportunities, with a special focus on promoting girl child education. The Life’s Good Scholarship Program is designed for students in any academic year of higher education who meet the eligibility criteria of achieving at least 60% in their previous class. The scholarships will be distributed based on need and merit, with 25% reserved for students from modest backgrounds and another 25% for high-achieving female students. The merit-based scholarships require a minimum of 75% in 12th-grade exams or a 7 GPA in subsequent years.
Scholarships will cover 50% of tuition fees or up to INR 1 lakh for undergraduates and INR 2 lakh for postgraduates, whichever is lower.Hong Ju Jeon, MD of LG Electronics India, highlighted the initiative’s significance, stating, “Our goal is to support young minds in their educational pursuits and contribute to societal progress. We believe that education is key to economic empowerment and societal advancement.”
