LG Electronics India Ltd. unveils “Essential Series”: a new line of home appliances “Made for India”

LG Electronics India Ltd. (LGEIL) on Tuesday unveiled its new “Essential Series,” a range of home appliances designed specifically for Indian consumers under the campaign “Har Ghar Appliances, Har Ghar Happiness.” Developed after extensive insights from over 1,200 families across India, the series emphasizes durability, practical design, and affordability.

The lineup includes a double door frost-free refrigerator with larger vegetable storage, a fully automatic top-load washing machine built for low water pressure and humid conditions, a room air conditioner with energy-saving features like Energy Manager+ and Diet Mode+, and a convertible oven with Indian Auto Cook menus, air fry, and convection modes. “The LG Essential Series addresses the real needs of Indian families with appliances built for local conditions, enhancing convenience and enriching daily life,” said Hong Ju Jeon, president of LGEIL.

In Kolkata, consumers have shown growing interest in energy-efficient and versatile appliances that cater to city living with its humid climate and variable power supply. Retailers report strong pre-launch inquiries, particularly for refrigerators and washing machines, signaling a positive reception ahead of the nationwide rollout. The LG Essential Series will be available across authorized stores, multi-brand outlets, and leading e-commerce platforms starting November 2025, with prices starting at around Rs.18,000.
