Acting on precise intelligence regarding drug trafficking activities, Assam Rifles swiftly established a Mobile Vehicle Check Post (MVCP) on July 10, 2024, near the fourth mile, leading to a significant interception and apprehension.
During the operation, security forces intercepted a vehicle and conducted a meticulous search, uncovering 1,134 grams of suspected Heroin No. 4 concealed within 81 plastic soap cases. The estimated street value of the seized contraband is approximately Rs. 7,93,80,000. The concealment was designed to evade detection, highlighting the sophisticated methods employed by the smugglers.
Three individuals were apprehended on-site in connection with the illicit smuggling activities. The recovered arms, ammunition, magazines, and other confiscated items have been handed over to the Nagaland Police for further investigation and legal proceedings.
