The Naga National Council (Parent Body), led by President S.S. Pongokhu and General Secretary Francis Kikon, has unanimously decided to rename the organization as the GPRN/NNC (Apex Body).
The announcement was made through a press release by Kikon, following a consultative meeting held on September 26 in Dimapur. The meeting was attended by key representatives, including councils of kilonsers, tatars, army wings, and secretaries.
Kikon explained that the decision to change the nomenclature was aimed at eliminating confusion and addressing issues related to individuals allegedly undermining the reputation of national workers. This rebranding effort seeks to strengthen the unity and identity of the organization as it navigates the complexities of the current political landscape.
