Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, accompanied by his cabinet colleagues, met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi on Thursday to deliberate on critical issues affecting the state.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Rio shared, “Called on the Hon’ble Union Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation Shri @AmitShah Ji, along with my Cabinet colleagues. We discussed the Naga political issue, Eastern Nagaland concerns, Nagaland-Assam border matters, and key developmental projects.” The delegation included Deputy Chief Ministers TR Zeliang and Y Patton, along with ministers CL John, Temjen Imna Along, Metsubo Jamir, and Salhoutuonuo Kruse.
The meeting follows a November 16 Cabinet resolution emphasizing the need to urge Central leaders for expedited solutions to the Naga political issue. Discussions likely centered on the ongoing peace talks and challenges in Eastern Nagaland, as well as border disputes with Assam.
