NSE, IFC and CBI lead the way with innovative workshops

The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE), in partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Climate Bonds Initiative (CBI), recently hosted a series of groundbreaking workshops. Titled ‘Deep Dive in Green, Social, and Sustainability (GSS) Bonds Issuance Process,’ these sessions were more than just educational; they were a catalyst for change.

Over two days in Mumbai and New Delhi, industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders gathered to explore the intricate world of sustainable finance. Expert-led sessions delved into the nuances of GSS bond issuance, providing invaluable insights into the labeled bond universe and the processes involved.

Key speakers, including Shri K Rajaraman, Chairperson of IFSCA, and Smt. Shalini Agrawal, IAS, Municipal Commissioner of Surat, underscored the transformative potential of GSS instruments in fostering sustainable urban development. This collaboration between NSE, IFC, and CBI represents a significant leap forward in integrating sustainability into financial strategies and decision-making processes.
