Onion exports ban from India till next year

The government of India has banned the export of onions from the country due to its unavailability till next year, March 2024. The decision is taken to control the increasing balance the price value in the country.

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) said, “Export policy of onions is amended from free to prohibit till March 31, 2024,” the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) said in a notification.

According to the sources, Local vendors in the national capital are selling onions at Rs 70-Rs 80 per kg.
