Continuous heavy rainfall in Assam has effected many villages in Assam due to rising of rain water within the state. A fresh report by Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), around 3,90,491 people were affected by the flood with rising death toll to 27.
However, this year flood has effected 4347.86 acres of crop area and 19 districts of Assam.
