PM Narendra Modi accepts invitation to inaugurate BAPS Hindu Mandir in UAE’s Abu Dhabi on 14th February

PM Modi will inaugurate the first traditional Hindu stone mandir in the Middle East. The inauguration ceremony of BAPS Hindu Temple is scheduled for February 14, 2024 in Abu Dhabi. The BAPS on Thursday, December 28, released a statement and said PM Narendra Modi has accepted invitation after a delegation of the temple visited him at his official resident on Thursday evening.

This will be UAE’s first traditional hand-carved Hindu Temple and is located in Abu Dhabi’s Abu Mureikha area. The construction of the temple began in 2019 and it will open to the public on February 18, 2024.

The intricate architecture includes thousands of hand-carved stone blocks sourced from Rajasthan and Gujarat. The temple is built using traditional Hindu temple architecture, without the use of iron or steel.
