In a mesmerizing display of cultural splendor, the Rashtrapati Bhavan played host to the inaugural chapter of ‘Vividhata ka Amrit Mahotsav,’ a biannual extravaganza celebrating the vibrant mosaic of Northeast India’s heritage. Transforming the stately grounds into a tapestry of colors and rhythms, the event marked a harmonious convergence of cultures.
The distinguished inauguration witnessed the esteemed presence of Hon’ble President Smt. Droupadi Murmu, alongside Cabinet Minister Shri. G. Kishan Reddy and Minister of Earth Sciences Shri. Kiren Rijiju, among other luminaries. Their collective endorsement underscored the significance of showcasing the rich diversity of the region. Hon’ble President Murmu, in her stirring address, lauded the organizers for their efforts in weaving together the cultural fabric of Northeast India within the grandeur of the Rashtrapati Bhavan. Emphasizing the need for greater exploration and appreciation of the region’s enchanting diversity, she urged citizens to embrace the cultural tapestry it offers.
Managed by the Ministry of Development of Northeastern Region and its CPSE, Northeastern Handicrafts & Handlooms Development Corporation Limited (NEHHDC), the event was a highlight of Udyan Utsav 2024 at Amrit Udyan. With free entry, it attracted a diverse audience, including parliamentarians, governors, cabinet ministers, officials, and enthusiastic visitors.
