Dr. Rita Chowdhury, a renowned writer and Sahitya Akademi Award recipient, is set to be warmly welcomed into Bangladesh. Invited as a distinguished guest, Dr. Chowdhury will partake in a series of events in Dhaka from April 19 to 23, marking a significant literary milestone.

The official launch of “Zero Hour” will be presided over by none other than Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister, Mohammed Hasan Mahmud, underscoring the novel’s cultural and historical significance. Joining the esteemed lineup are distinguished figures such as Mohammad Nurul Huda, Director General of Bangla Academy, Bangladesh, and Bir Pratik Habibul Alam, Crack Platoon Leader, further enriching the event’s significance. Dr. Chowdhury’s latest literary work, “Zero Hour,” is a poignant narrative that encapsulates the essence of the Bangladesh Liberation War. The Bengali-authored novel has gained widespread acclaim and resonated deeply with readers across the globe.

Reflecting on her connection with Bangladesh, Dr. Chowdhury expressed heartfelt sentiments, she said, “I have an emotional bond with Bangladesh, rooted in the shared experiences of our histories. Through ‘Zero Hour,’ I endeavor to honor those moments and pay tribute to the resilience of the Bangladeshi spirit.” In addition to the novel launch, Dr. Chowdhury will serve as the Chief Guest at the Byatikram Medical Tourism Conclave, reaffirming her commitment to fostering cultural exchange and collaboration across borders.
