Seagram’s Royal Stag kickstarted the fourth edition of Royal Stag BoomBox – The Original Sound of Generation Large – with a high-voltage opening night in Kolkata on February 21 at Aquatica Ground. Setting off on a four-city tour, the festival brings together Bollywood melodies and hip-hop beats along with immersive art, culture and gaming experiences. Thousands of fans gathered as the venue turned into a multi-sensory playground featuring vibrant installations, curated food experiences and interactive zones. The evening began with a live gaming face-off led by Payal Dhare, followed by DJ Sahil Gulati’s energetic opening set. Rapper Dino James raised the tempo with a powerful performance, while legendary rock band Fossils delivered a thunderous set on their home turf. Headliner Armaan Malik closed the night with a soulful finale, performing his chart-topping hits.
Armaan Malik said the platform celebrates music that unites people across genres and generations. Fossils called the event a representation of India’s evolving sound where genres collaborate. Dino James described the Kolkata crowd as electric, while DJ Sahil Gulati and Payal Dhare highlighted the fusion of music and gaming as a defining feature of Season 4.
The festival will next travel to Vizag on March 7, Mumbai on March 21 and Mohali on March 28.
