Minor confrontation took place between Assam Rifles and NSCN-IM cadres in Intanki National Park in Nagaland.
According to the sources, Assam Rifles were out for patrolling for durations varying from 72 hours to 96 hours in the run-up to Republic Day. While returning back they took a break in Intanki National Park. The incident took place on Friday around 4 pm.
During the break, the team observed the NSCN-IM cadres were moving from the same direction. The Assam Rifles patrolling team leader decided to disengage his troops and ensured that the incident did not escalate.
According to some evidence, in a video showed a discussion between the two sides in which the paramilitary personnel claimed that they had lost their way.
