Snapchat identifies 5 local landmarks to bring alive in Holi colors

Snapchat presents unique Augmented Reality experiences to immerse users in its festive spirit. With a range of new lenses and experiences launching on the platform. Snap’s cutting-edge AR technology is all set to transform virtual Holi celebrations, providing Snapchatters with a unique and immersive way to celebrate the festival. Utilizing the platform’s landmarker and sky segmentation technology, popular locations in cities such as Mumbai, Chandigarh, Mathura, and Varanasi are transformed into colorful playgrounds, with various landmarks painted in vibrant colors.

With the use of AR watercolor guns, Snapchatters can shoot colorful explosions towards the sky, creating a dazzling display of Holi greetings. Upon scanning these areas, Snapchatters can witness these landmarks painted with festive colors, making for a truly memorable and interactive experience.

Snapchat has identified 5 local landmarks to bring alive in Holi colors and these are, Karishma Katiyar from Kanpur chose the Braj Bhumi area in Mathura and also transformed the Ghats in Varanasi, Ishpreet Singh from Chandigarh designed the lens for the Rock Garden entrance in Chandigarh, and Krunal Grediya transformed the majestic Gateway of India in Mumbai.
