Students protest in Manipur, seeking removal of security adviser

Tensions escalated in Manipur as students from various schools and colleges took to the streets, protesting the state’s ongoing crisis. The youth-led demonstration saw an attempt to storm the Chief Minister’s bungalow and the Governor’s Raj Bhawan, underscoring the depth of frustration within the community.

Protesters are demanding the removal of the state’s Security Adviser and a transfer of the Unified Command to local authorities, expressing dissatisfaction with the current management of security operations.

The involvement of students in the protests signals the profound impact of the conflict on the younger generation. A sit-in protest outside Raj Bhawan further intensified the call for immediate government action.
